QMWS is a strong advocate for equitable health for all Australians. Sadly, a large proportion of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community continues to experience societal, systemic, and health inequalities. In 2017, the Uluru Statement of the Heart called for the establishment of a First Nations Voice to Parliament enshrined in the Australian Constitution. On Saturday 14th October 2023, all Australians will be asked to vote on this proposal.
QMWS encourages everyone in our community to learn more about the Voice to Parliament.
