Our Work

The QMWS actively provides an Advocacy role, participates in and delivers a range of Projects and Initiatives, and drafts and produces various Public Statements.

The Work We Do

The Queensland Medical Women’s Society (QMWS) offers our members, colleagues and the community access to the collective knowledge and experiences of medical women. QMWS aims to represent the interests of medical women and advocate for the health of all, especially women and children.

We meet five times a year at various venues, with different themes. Additionally, we participate in and coordinate various projects across the Queensland health space.

QMWS offers our members, colleagues and the community access to the collective knowledge and experiences of medical women. QMWS seeks to ensure equity and equality for women doctors to achieve their potential throughout all stages of their professional and personal lives.
