Launch of the 2026 QMWS/NCWQ Bursaries
The Queensland Medical Women’s Society (QMWS) is delighted to announce the upcoming launch of the 2026 bursaries, administered through the National Council of Women of Queensland (NCWQ) Bursary Program.
These bursaries support the career development of female medical students and recent graduates—an enduring partnership that continues to grow in both reach and impact.
The 2026 NCWQ Bursary Program, supported by sponsors including QMWS, offers a diverse range of opportunities to assist Queensland women with educational expenses and attendance at leadership and professional development events.
Among the 35+ bursaries available, five are specifically tailored to medical women through QMWS. Further details for each will become available when applications open on 21 March:
-
QMWS & AMA Queensland Professor Tess Cramond Memorial Bursary
-
QMWS Quota Brisbane Bursary in Honour of Dr Laurel Macintosh OBE
-
