The NCWQ Queensland Medical Women’s Society Bursary has been established to celebrate our 90th Anniversary of the QMWS. It provides $1000 to assist female medical students to advance their education through attendance at an international or other conference related to activities of the QMWS, AFMW or MWIA.
Eligibility Criteria
- A female, full-time student enrolled in a medical degree course, in at least your third year of study.
- A student member of the Queensland Medical Women’s Society
- A resident of Queensland
- An Australian citizen or a Permanent Resident of Australia
Selection Criteria
The following selection criteria, including the Personal Statement, will be used to assess applications.
- Detail how the bursary will assist you in attending an event associated with the Medical Women’s International Society (either the global triennial or regional meetings)
- Explain your interest in the field of medicine and your career aspirations
- Be prepared to present a report at an appropriate QMWS function, or to submit a written report if a personal presentation is not feasible
