We have members on multiple national Women’s lobby groups, particularly in relationship to women’s health.
The Queensland Medical Women’s Society invites members and guests to its Dinner Meeting on Wednesday 20 May 2026 at The Summit, Mount Coot-tha featuring special guest speaker Dr Teresa Nano. An accomplished Breast and Endocrine Surgeon, Dr Nano specialises in breast cancer care and reconstruction as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and is actively involved in clinical education, research, and quality improvement!

Since February 2025, QMWS100 has continued its work through meetings, working bees, and collaborations, celebrating resilience and women’s medical leadership. Highlights include the Quilt Project, insights from Professor Thelma Parker, archival discoveries, and a tribute to Dr Lydia Pitcher. Please email [email protected]
