The Queensland Medical Women’s Society invites members and guests to its Dinner Meeting on Wednesday 20 May 2026 at The Summit, Mount Coot-tha featuring special guest speaker Dr Teresa Nano. An accomplished Breast and Endocrine Surgeon, Dr Nano specialises in breast cancer care and reconstruction as well as thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and is actively involved in clinical education, research, and quality improvement!

Her upcoming tribute to Dr Lilian Cooper promises to beautifully capture the pioneering surgeon’s legacy. On 25th January 2025, the QMWS100 Working Committee began digitising the historical contents of the QMWS suitcases at Dr Barbara Woodhouse’s clinic, preserving the society’s rich legacy. The event featured insights from Dr Catherine Yelland and welcomed journalist Bernadette Condren, who will help craft the QMWS Centennial book.
