On Sunday, November 17th, 2024, members and friends of the Queensland Medical Women’s Society (QMWS) gathered at the picturesque Medley in Kangaroo Point to celebrate a year of achievements and usher in the festive season. With its stunning riverside views and charming ambiance, Medley provided the perfect backdrop for an evening filled with warmth, camaraderie, and celebration.
The event kicked off at 4:00 PM with guests welcomed by a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. Attendees enjoyed a delicious selection of canapés and refreshing drinks while reconnecting with colleagues and making new connections within the QMWS community.
A highlight of the evening was the celebration of our 2024 QMWS Bursary Recipients, who were recognised for their remarkable contributions and achievements. Their stories inspired all in attendance and underscored the importance of fostering and supporting the next generation of medical women. Throughout the evening, guests also enjoyed festive surprises that added an extra sparkle to the celebration. Conversations buzzed with reflections on the year gone by and aspirations for the future, emphasising the strength and unity of the QMWS network.
As the sun set over the Brisbane River, the event wrapped up at 7:00 PM, leaving everyone with fond memories of a truly special gathering. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this memorable celebration. We wish you a joyful festive season and look forward to seeing you in 2025!
