We are thrilled to share a momentous event with all of you! The Queensland Medical Women’s Society (QMWS) recently embarked on a journey back in time as we opened a time capsule from 1929, preserving the remarkable beginnings of this esteemed organization. And guess what? The unveiling was made even more special with the presence of the illustrious Dr. Zelle Hodge, former QMWS and AMA Queensland president, who graciously assisted the current committee in this extraordinary event.

As if that wasn’t enough of a treasure trove, the time capsule held a touching letter written by none other than Dr. Lilian Cooper, a true trailblazer as the first female doctor to be registered with the Medical Board of Queensland.
