Dr Julia-Rose Satre – 2023 Purple Bush Medicine Leaves recipient

Dr Julia-Rose Satre is a Yawuru woman who was fortunate to not only grow up in Country Broome Western Australia, but also in Cairns Far North Queensland. She is a member of the Australian Indigenous Doctor’s Association (AIDA) and plans to use the Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursary to enable her to attend the annual AIDA conference this year.

Dr Sarah Jane Springer – 2022 Purple Bush Medicine Leaves recipient

Dr Sarah Jane Springer, a Wiradjuri woman from Mudgee, NSW is one of the recipients of the 2022 Purple Bush Medicine Leaves Bursaries. At the NAIDOC Week Bursary Celebration in July 2022, Sarah provided a moving video detailing her work and insights as a medical woman as she develops her multidisciplinary skills and completes the Leadership for Clinicians Course, Royal Australian College of Medical Administrators.
