Australia’s largest event dedicated to the health and wellbeing of all women, girls, and gender-diverse people is back! Join over 300,000 people across the country and millions more online for a week of vital health information, inspiring stories, and community connection.

The Queensland Medical Women’s Society is proud to support this event, which aligns closely with our ethos of empowering women with knowledge and advocating for better health outcomes.

What is Women’s Health Week? Every September, Women’s Health Week brings people together in boardrooms, tearooms, and community centres to share evidence-based health information and spark important conversations. Whether you attend an event, host your own, or follow along online, there’s something for everyone.

What to Expect:

  • Daily Themes: Explore key health topics like body awareness, courageous conversations, breaking down stigma, understanding health differences, and building healthier habits.
  • In-Person Events: Attend local gatherings to connect with health experts and your community.
  • Online Resources: Access webinars, articles, and videos anytime, anywhere.

Daily Program:

  • Monday, 1 September: Know Your Body — Understand what’s normal for you with info on health checks, bowel health, skin checks, and self-examinations.
  • Tuesday, 2 September: Courageous Conversations — Gain tools to confidently discuss menopause, hormones, PCOS, and more with your doctor.
  • Wednesday, 3 September: Shame and Stigma — Break the silence on taboo topics like bladder leakage, painful sex, STIs, and vulval irritation.
  • Thursday, 4 September: Point of Difference — Learn about conditions that affect women differently, including heart health, migraines, and pelvic pain.
  • Friday, 5 September: Trust Your Gut — Dive into nutrition basics and build a healthier relationship with food.
